AMEE JOSHI
DO, Family Practice, E- RYT 500, Vedic Meditation Facilitator
Amee Joshi, DO, e-RYT 500 is a physician, yoga, and meditation teacher and contrast therapy lead instructor. With a deep understanding of both modern medicine and ancient healing traditions, she is passionate about guiding others toward optimal health through multiple modalities of healing. Amee’s journey into health and wellness began in childhood, practicing yoga alongside her mother in Miami and as a student of dance. She received her undergraduate education at University of Miami and medical education at Nova Southeastern University. While completing her residency in family medicine, she rediscovered yoga as a powerful tool for resilience and stress relief. Over the past few decades, she has expanded her expertise beyond medicine and yoga, integrating modalities like functional movement and contrast therapy as a means to enhance physical recovery, mental clarity, and overall vitality. Amee is certified in yoga through the Asheville School of Yoga and Kodawari Studios. Amee also holds certifications in Vedic Meditation, Yin, Restorative and Prenatal Yoga. She combines her medical knowledge with Eastern traditions, helping individuals unlock their body’s innate healing potential. She creates a welcoming and calming atmosphere amidst the challenge and tailors her approach with both science and intuition, blending evidence-based practices with ancient wisdom. Off the mat, Amee can be found on a sports field with her son Ashton, cooking, dancing in the kitchen, reading, and sharing meaningful time with friends and family.
