Charla K Tempone, AP, CNM

Working with patients for over 30 years, Charla K Tempone has developed a comprehensive skill set that enables her to accurately identify root causes of health concerns. She addresses each person's unique needs by employing a variety of diagnostic tools that identify the primary factors affecting health. Her methods may include laboratory testing, muscle testing, palpation, and a thorough intake of each patient's history. Charla maintains that there is no "one size fits all" approach to wellness. She is committed to continuous study and applies modern medical advancements, traditional wisdom, and ancient techniques in her practice to provide tailored care for her patients.

Her training encompasses numerous aspects of health assessment, including evaluation of nutritional status, allergies, pathogens, energy flow through acupuncture meridians, and both chemical and structural factors. Applied kinesiology is one of her primary diagnostic tools—a neurological technique that allows her to gather information from the body’s reflexes and facilitate meaningful change within the system. This approach often enables the use of fewer supplements or lower doses, tailored specifically to each individual.

Additionally, Charla understands that injuries can keep us in a state of sympathetic response, or “fight or flight”. Pain relief can be a jump start to allow the body to heal on many other levels as well. The other factors, which include food allergies, poor diet and chemical exposures, as well as underlying pathogens like chronic viruses, bacteria or parasites, influence our ability to heal, recover, and repair.

In 2026, Charla founded Oak Healing Center to expand her vibrant and well-recognized practice which she established more than 20 years ago as Swann Holistic Health Center.  

The Center provides a new home for her practice and space for other talented practitioners with unique skills and complimentary therapies. Together, they create a unified team to support and promote the overall health and well-being of each patient and client.
